Kids Remote (Parent Command app and Kids Remote Kid app), operated from Queensland, Australia. Contact: hello@kidsremote.app.
Before a child under 13 in the United States can use Banjo chat or voice, Kids Remote asks a grown-up to confirm they're the child's parent or guardian. It's a quick one-off step.
The check is run by our partner, Kids Web Services (part of Epic Games). They send you an email and run the check on their own page. Kids Remote never sees your answers. We only keep whether the check passed and when.
When you're done, go back to Kids Remote on the main Big Boss phone and tap I’ve done it. It can take a minute to show as done.
On their page you can confirm with the last 4 digits of a US Social Security number (US only) or with a payment card (works in other countries too).
This is an estimate based on Epic’s published help pages, and Epic can change the amounts. For US parents the card check is about 5 cents (USD), refunded within about 8 to 13 business days. Outside the US there’s no charge: a small temporary hold is placed on the card and then released, roughly A$1 in Australia and NZ$1 in New Zealand. It shows on statements as “Kids Web Services”.
You can send up to 5 emails an hour. If you hit that limit, the app will ask you to wait. Try again a little later.
No problem. In the app, tap Email me the check again to get a fresh email, and use the newest link. A check you've started stays open in the app for 3 days.
Just start again in the app with the right address. The old email can be ignored.
This usually means Kids Web Services or our server is briefly unavailable. Nothing has gone wrong on your side. Please try again in a few minutes. If it keeps happening, email us.
If we change what the parent check covers, we ask parents to confirm again so your OK matches the current wording.
