Delete your Kids Remote family account

Kids Remote (Parent Command app and Kids Remote Kid app), operated from Queensland, Australia. Contact: hello@kidsremote.app.

Delete it in the app (fastest, immediate)

Open Kids Remote on the main Big Boss phone and log in as a Big Boss.
Go to Settings → Delete family account (also at the bottom of Settings → Family phones).
Read what will be deleted and tap Continue.
Type DELETE and tap Delete everything.

The family account is deleted from our server straight away, and everything Kids Remote stored on that phone is wiped. Linked kid and co-parent phones are signed out the next time they check in, and they forget the family's data too.

Lost the main Big Boss phone?

Use your spare key: on any phone or browser, open Kids Remote, choose Join your family and type the spare key. That device becomes the main Big Boss phone, and you can delete the account as above.
Or a co-parent can move the main Big Boss to a new phone, then delete the account there.

Ask us to delete it (no app needed)

Email hello@kidsremote.app with the subject "Delete my Kids Remote family account". Tell us roughly when you set the family up and which phones are linked (for example "iPhone and two iPads"). We may ask one question to check the request comes from the family's parent. We delete the family within 30 days and email you when it's done.

What is deleted

Data	What happens
The family link and the household board: family ID, linked phones, people, jobs, points, rewards, settings, gag state, and every phone's sign-in credential	Deleted. Every linked phone stops working with the family.
Linking codes and the spare key	Deleted, including used and expired codes.
Parent consent records and each child's Banjo consent	Deleted.
Banjo's family memory (working memory, archive and the Big Boss's own Banjo instructions) and the family's help mailbox notes	Deleted.
The family's xAI key and NextDNS key	Deleted from our server when the account is deleted, and wiped from the phone you delete from.
Reading progress, setup-guide state and Arun's notes	Deleted from our server when the account is deleted.
Banjo usage: minutes per child, the family AI switch, spend cap and spend meter, the family model choice	Deleted.
The shared household board (jobs, points, rewards, settings). Photos are never on our server: they stay on the device that took them	Deleted with the family.
Everything on the phone you delete from: profiles, jobs, points, PINs, photos, Banjo reports and history, settings and the xAI key	Wiped from that phone.

What is not deleted by us

Your xAI account. It belongs to you, not Kids Remote. Manage or close it in the xAI console. Chats already sent to xAI follow xAI's retention: none with Zero Data Retention on, otherwise up to 30 days.
Short-lived rate-limit counters keyed by network address (hashed, no names) expire on their own within a day. Counters keyed by the family or its phones are deleted with the account.
Hosting backups and logs kept by our hosting provider roll over within 30 days. Our logs never contain names, chats or keys.
Data on a linked phone that never checks in again stays on that phone until the app is opened or uninstalled.
